New and Improved: Program Report 35
Program Report 35 is here just in time for the 2020 PAEA Education Forum.
This year’s installment of the By the Numbers: Program Report is a snapshot of the state of PA education right before the COVID-19 pandemic hit, with the data collected from July through December 2019. Our annual Program Report is the best and most complete summary of PA programs, their finances, personnel, and students. Notable highlights of this year’s report include:
- Over 90% of programs report using CASPA for all or part of their admissions. (Table 8)
- For the first time since we began tracking this data, more than half of PA programs are paying for some or all clinical sites. (Figure 7)
- In 2019, there were more than 11,000 first-year PA students and over 9,000 graduates. (Figure 19)
As always, Program Report data are available to researchers interested in getting access to raw data for their own research. Please note that Program and Curriculum Survey data requests are exempt from the IRB approval/exemption process. These are the easiest raw data to request! Custom reports are temporarily suspended but will return soon. Make sure to review our data request and sharing policies.
