PAEA Webinar Provides Overview of SUD Treatment
In November 2021, PAEA partnered with the Society of Physician Assistants in Addiction Medicine for a virtual conversation, Enhancing High-Quality Training About Substance Use Disorders. Jim Anderson, MPAS, PA-C, and Bernard Stuetz, MA, PA-C, presented an overview of the different aspects of substance use disorder treatment and PA contributions to the field. They discussed finding and developing new preceptors, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), stigma, and legislation and advocacy work.
