New HRSA Funding Opportunity Webinar
As detailed in a previous alert, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) recently released a new funding opportunity entitled “Primary Care Training and Enhancement: Training Primary Care Champions.” According to the notice of funding opportunity, HRSA anticipates providing up to 10 grants capped at $400,000 a year over a five-year period to train practicing physician/PA fellows to serve as leaders in health care transformation through partnerships with community-based organizations.
To assist PA programs that are interested in applying for the new funding opportunity, PAEA will host a free webinar on Wednesday, December 13, from 3:00-4:00 p.m. ET. The purpose of the presentation will be to provide a general overview of the new funding opportunity, discuss the requirements as outlined in HRSA’s announcement, and answer technical questions regarding the grant application process. The webinar will be given by PAEA’s Chief Policy and Research Officer Dave Keahey and Chief of Educational Development Karen Hills, who have both led successful grant applications.
Please note that the deadline to apply for this opportunity is January 30 at 11:59 p.m. ET and that interested applicants should expect to dedicate significant time to application preparation in the coming weeks.
For any questions regarding the webinar or the grant opportunity, please contact Dave Keahey at dkeahey@PAEAonline.org. To register for the webinar, visit the website.
