Make a Difference in PA Education, Join the PAEA Board

One of the greatest strengths of PAEA is our Board of Directors, a group of outstanding PA educators dedicated to ensuring that PA training is accessible to all and meets the highest standards of our profession.

Each year at this time, PAEA seeks new members to join the board. Having new members ensures that the board has fresh perspectives and new ideas that advance PA education. For me, being part of the PAEA Board has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done.

If you have a passion for education and a love for the PA profession, join us. The board needs your talent, experience, and smarts. There’s a lot to learn and a lot you can contribute.

Being a member of the PAEA Board has been an incredibly rewarding experience for me personally. It has not only enhanced my leadership skills but also fostered enduring friendships with fellow board members.

The qualities we seek in potential board members are simple. Board members need:

• A passion for helping others in their field and advancing PA education.
• The vision to think about and plan for PAEA’s long-term future.
• The willingness to learn how the board functions as part of PAEA and about the variety of issues, such as government policy, that the board handles.
• The ability to respectfully engage with other board members who may have different perspectives.

The board has three open positions for 2025: President Elect, Treasurer, and one Director at Large position. Applicants must be faculty or staff at a member program and have previously volunteered for PAEA. Click here for a full description of eligibility requirements for each position.
