The PA History Society (PAHx) will be hosting their first PA Historian Boot Camp this September in Georgia. If you have a passion for PA history, consider joining PAHx for the two-day workshop, “Become a PA Historian: How to Save, Study, and Share the Story of PAs, Our History, and Legacy.”

The workshop will take place on Thursday and Friday, September 27–28, at the PAHx-NCCPA headquarters in Johns Creek, Georgia. It has been approved for 12 credits of AAPA Category 1 CME.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Organize and preserve historical documents
  • Attain archival skills for research and study
  • Become an advocate for PA history and the profession
  • Develop techniques to creatively write, speak, and share the history of their institution and the PA profession

The workshop costs $225 per person, which includes a handbook, lunch and dinner on Friday, and lunch on Saturday.

Attendees are responsible for their own transportation (flight and arriving ground transportation from Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport to the hotel in Johns Creek) and hotel reservations. The PA History Society will provide complimentary shuttle service from the PAHx office to the Atlanta Airport on Friday afternoon after the event concludes.
