Webinar: Advanced Development of SUD Standardized Patient Scripts and Videos
Please join PAEA on Tuesday, January 5 at 3:00 p.m. ET, for a 90-minute webinar on developing standardized patient scripts and videos in the OUD and larger SUD content areas. This webinar is aimed at PA educators and program directors, and will serve in part as a question-and-answer opportunity for the PAEA Fall Workshop session on Developing a Substance Use Disorder Standardized-Patient Script (linked below). Dr. John Lopes, director of the MAT Waiver Training Initiative, and Dave Keahey, chief policy and research officer for PAEA, will present.
Attendees of this webinar will:
– Understand the current substance use epidemic
– Review typical substance-use history presentations in patients
– Practice development of substance-use-history scripts, with specific patient scenarios, in small-group breakout sessions
– Participate in a question & answer session to discuss advanced challenges of SUD-specific standardized patient scripts and videos, needed training for faculty, and other training/CME available online from SAMHSA-funded resources.
This program is not yet approved for CME credit. Conference organizers plan to apply for 1.5 AAPA Category 1 CME credits from the AAPA Review Panel. The total number of approved credits is yet to be determined.
