Veteran PA Educator Joins PAEA for the Summer
As part of a 6-month sabbatical, Lisa Mustone Alexander, EdD, MPH, PA-C, a long-time faculty member at the George Washington University PA program, has been appointed as a research fellow at PAEA.
During her 4-month stint with the Association, she will be working with the staff to identify factors that influence matriculation of under-represented minorities into PA educational programs. She also will continue research she has started on the clinical education of PA students, specifically related to student roles within the context of the clinical training environment.
Dr. Alexander has held a variety of national positions, including previous service on the PAEA Board of Directors and the PA Foundation, in addition to committee service and liaison positions for AAPA. In 2010, she served in Africa as a Fulbright senior specialist, facilitating the development of the Clinical Officer Program with the National University of Rwanda.
We’re thrilled to have her here with us for the summer.
