RWJF Change Leadership Programs
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s new change leadership programs — designed to extend the influence and impact of leaders working to build a culture of health — are now accepting applications.
This is a revolutionary new leadership opportunity, providing participants with leadership training; advanced curriculum in health policy, community engagement, health equity and other topics; interdisciplinary collaboration, networking and mentoring; and funding through stipends and grants. Plus, participants do not need to relocate; they will work and learn from their home communities.
The four programs are geared toward:
- Clinical Scholars is geared toward clinically active health care providers spanning a range of disciplines. Working together in interprofessional teams, participants will engage in intensive learning, mentoring, and networking to lead transformative change — centered on health equity — in their communities.
- Interdisciplinary Research Leaders supports teams of researchers and community leaders to apply health research and policy to meet the pressing needs of communities. With a shared commitment to creating a healthier, more equitable future, these powerful alliances will be challenged to collaborate in new ways and accelerate the real-life impact of their work.
- Health Policy Research Scholars is an opportunity for full-time doctoral students from underrepresented populations or historically disadvantaged backgrounds, entering the first or second year of their doctoral program (by September 1, 2016), from any academic discipline who are training to be researchers and are interested in health policy research.
- Culture of Health Leaders is an opportunity for leaders from sectors that influence health — including education, transportation, technology, public health, government, faith/spiritual, business, health care, social service, economic development, urban planning and others — who want to move their communities and organizations toward a culture of health.
