Register for June’s Leadership Book Club meeting
The 2024 Leadership Book Club Series, hosted by the PAEA Leadership Mission Advancement Commission (LMAC), is looking forward to its June meeting.
Our meetings so far this year have brought rich discussion, valuable lessons, and professional development in leadership through conversation about titles that emphasize leadership styles, traits and habits, and best practices in higher education.
The club will next discuss “Five Dysfunctions of a Team: A Leadership Fable,” by Patrick Lencioni, which has appeared on American best-seller lists including The New York Times Best Seller List, the Wall Street Journal and USA Today.
Readers will leave the June discussion with a new idea, a new connection, and a stronger sense of leadership internally. They will also have a chance to discuss how to apply these concepts to our personal and professional lives and to those of our students.
As we have done before every meeting, the LMAC will give a free copy of “Five Dysfunctions of a Team” to the first five people who register for the meeting!
As a sneak preview, on August 8, the Leadership Book Club will discuss “The College Administrators Survival Guide: Revised Edition” by C.K. Gunsalus.”
The book club uses Zoom to host its remote meetings.
We will also encourage discussion in the Leadership and Development Professional Learning Community (PLC), accessible in the Member Community, throughout our time in each book.
Joining a PLC takes only a minute.
- Log in to the PAEA Member Community
- Click on “Professional Learning Communities” on the top menu bar
- Scroll down the list of available PLCs and click on any that interest you, including the “Leadership and Development” PLC. Click “Join group.” (Please note: You may join as many PLCs as you would like.)
