Paul Ambrose Scholars Program: Application Cycle Now Open
Paul Ambrose Scholars Program
Application Deadline: February 12
The Association for Prevention Teaching and Research (APTR) is accepting applications for the 2021-2022 Paul Ambrose Scholars Program.
The Paul Ambrose Scholars Program prepares public health and clinical health professions students to promote change and be leaders in addressing population health challenges at the national and community level. Each year, the Paul Ambrose Scholars Program selects a cohort of 40 students from across the health professions to participate in a Student Leadership Symposium. Students commit their time and effort to improve health within their communities through the planning and implementation of a community-based project. The Paul Ambrose Scholars Program helps students cultivate leadership and organizational skills in public health education outside of the classroom.
This year’s symposium will be held virtually from Tuesday, June 22 – Thursday, June 24. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions and advisories, APTR meetings are being planned virtually through July 2021. The Symposium will have presentations, group discussions, and activities that allow Scholars to interact with presenters and students.
Please visit The Association for Prevention Teaching and Research (APTR) website at www.aptrweb.org/pasp to learn more about the Paul Ambrose Scholars Program and to access the application packet and online application at www.ambrosescholars.org/apply.
