PAEA Receives SOC 2 Type II Attestation

The PA Education Association (PAEA) is pleased to announce it has completed its Service Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type II audit, performed by KirkpatrickPrice. This attestation demonstrates PAEA’s commitment to security and to delivering high-quality services to its members by verifying the Association has the necessary internal controls and processes in place to safeguard members’ data.

A SOC 2 Type II audit provides an independent, third-party validation that a service organization’s information security practices meet industry standards stipulated by the Association of International Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). During the audit, a service organization’s non-financial reporting controls as they relate to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy of a system are tested.

“Security is a critical issue in today’s world, and the SOC 2 Type II audit affirms the significant security controls we have put into place to protect PA programs’ data. PAEA elected to undergo a diligent third-party examination of our security practices to assure our members and their institutions of our commitment to minimizing risk and delivering outstanding service,” said PAEA COO Zachary Britt, MPH, MBA.

The SOC 2 Type II audit report delivered by KirkpatrickPrice verifies the suitability of the design and operating effectiveness of PAEA’s controls to meet the standards for these criteria. If your program or institution requires a SOC or other compliance report from PAEA, please send your request to PAEA will provide the necessary documents to you via secure email.
