PAEA Receives Second Oral Health Grant

For the second year in a row, PAEA will be serving as the fiscal administrator for the PA Leadership Initiative on Oral Health. As previously reported, the initiative has been going strong for nearly six years and is a collective effort that involves the “Four Orgs” — AAPA, ARC-PA, NCCPA, and PAEA.

Much of the focus of the grant this year will be on the integration of oral health into the practice environment. Across the Four Orgs, stakeholders are leading a variety of projects to continue pushing the importance of oral health integration. Additionally, leaders will come together at a capstone summit in August to identify ways to support patients, their communities, the PA profession, and interprofessional practice, discussing new strategies to eradicate dental disease and promote overall health.

The PA Leadership Initiative in Oral Health is supported by the National Interprofessional Initiative on Oral Health (NIIOH) with funding from the DentaQuest Foundation and Washington Dental Services Foundation.
