New Resources: Stress Management and Ultrasound Technology

COVID-19 has affected our lives in so many ways. Along with going almost completely remote in all areas of PA education and our work, the cancellation of conferences has led to a lack of Category 1 CME opportunities. To help fill this gap, PAEA is offering two free online CME activities, both of which have been approved for 1 hour of Category 1 CME:

Incorporating Ultrasound Technology into the PA Curriculum: How and where ultrasound may fit into your program.

Stress Management and the Prevention of Burnout for the PA Student, the Practicing PA, and Your Patients: An overview of the pathophysiology of stress, along with some adjunctive strategies to manage it and ways to integrate stress management into PA programs. The 5th Edition of the ARC-PA Accreditation Standards includes Standard B2.20:

The curriculum must include instruction about provider personal wellness including prevention of:

a) impairment and
b) burnout.

These modules were developed by PAEA staff members Deinse Rizzolo, PhD, PA-C, and Terry Seeliger, MHA. Both are now available in the Digital Learning Hub.
