Looking for a Quiet Place to Write? Join a Virtual Writing Retreat!
Do you feel distracted and need to focus on your projects? Please join us for two virtual writing retreats on August 13 and 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET. PAEA Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion officer Monica Miles, PhD and Shani Fleming, MS, MPH, PA-C are hosting these events to assist underrepresented PA faculty and their allies with space to in write solidarity. The writing retreats provide faculty with a space to devote uninterrupted time to work on a personal project of their choosing (i.e., grant proposals, manuscript submissions, conference submissions, etc.) while sharing resources and tips to promote success.
We all have heavy workloads and this virtual space will provide a collaborative community to support your scholarship. Each session will run four hours with short check-ins to encourage you to continue writing or receive feedback from your peers. You will need to come prepared to the session with:
- All materials that you will need to work on the selected writing task
- Comfortable clothes
- Set up your writing area to be comfortable
- Snacks
- Remove all distractions (turn off notifications)
- Positive energy
