How Does Your Program Handle Assessment?

Is your program currently using the PAEA End of Rotation™ exams? Are you curious about how other programs are using the exams to evaluate students?

The examinations are standardized, but the adoption, use, and grading of these exams are not — leading many programs to inquire about how best to utilize these examinations in their individual programs. This very question prompted a PAEA-developed research project that is being led by Betsy D. Ekey, MPAS, PA-C, program director and associate professor at the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio.

While on sabbatical this spring, Betsy will be conducting phone surveys of member programs to identify best practices for the use of PAEA assessments. The survey responses, in turn, will inform the writing of an upcoming test administration manual to be published by PAEA.
