“Compassion in Practice” will help you develop a sophisticated and deep understanding of the science and art of compassion. The course is designed to equip participants with knowledge and solid skills to practice compassion with patients, families, and colleagues.
Keynote speakers will discuss the emotional life of the brain; bridging neuroscience to compassion training; and wellness strategies for the busy practitioner. Interactive workshops will provide opportunities to experience, practice, and reflect on the many facets of the compassion process and its challenges.
The course, which will take place October 28 – 29 in Boston, is being offered by a collaborative group of partners including the Schwartz Center for Compassionate Healthcare, Massachusetts General Hospital, MGH Institute of Health Professions, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Mount Auburn Hospital, and The Arnold P. Gold Foundation, an organization that PAEA partners with on White Coat Ceremonies.
