2 New Student Surveys Announced
For three years, our Research team has surveyed matriculating students to discover who they are, why they chose the PA profession, and where they see themselves in the future.
In 2016, we’ll be stepping up our efforts to better understand the experiences of PA students through the entirety of their program — from matriculation to graduation. Do their career choices change as they progress? What about their health and well-being? Are their predicted levels of debt accurate?
To uncover the answers to these and other important questions, we’re deploying two new surveys.
Mid-Program Student Survey
This survey is unique in that we’re reaching out to students who previously completed the Matriculating Student Survey (and consented to being contacted for follow-up surveys). This will give us the opportunity to see how specific students progressed from when they began at their PA program to the mid-point of their education.
The survey will be sent directly to students on Wednesday, January 13, and will be open for six weeks. All students who respond will be entered into a drawing for the chance to win one of four $50 Amazon gift cards.
EoPS Survey
The End of Program Survey (EoPS) will be administered beginning with the 2016 cohort of PA students. During the month of each respective program’s graduation, we’ll send program directors an email with a survey link to forward to their new graduates.
Data collected from the EoPS will help both PAEA and our member programs understand graduating student trends that may affect workforce projections, curriculum development, program evaluation, and the costs of PA education.
Programs that achieve an 80% response rate will be entered into a drawing for a complimentary registration to the 2017 Education Forum in Denver, Colorado, and all responding graduates will be entered into a drawing to win one of four $50 Amazon gift cards.
