Virtual Policy and Advocacy Training Sessions for Member Programs
As PA programs across the country work to adapt their curriculum in response to COVID-19, PAEA’s Government Relations team is committed to serving as a resource. For members interested in bolstering their professional issues curriculum, PAEA is now accepting requests for virtual policy and advocacy training sessions tailored to the needs of individual programs.
Through PAEA’s Grassroots Action Network, PA faculty can now request customized training sessions ranging from 30 minutes to a half-day in length, including elements such as:
- The current policy landscape in Washington
- PAEA’s policy agenda and issues in PA education
- Advocacy best practices
- Virtual advocacy experience via social media
In addition to these elements, PAEA staff will work with faculty to further customize content to meet desired learning objectives. To facilitate scheduling and the preparation of training materials, the Government Relations team asks that requests for trainings be submitted at least four weeks in advance of the desired training date.
Members with additional questions on virtual advocacy trainings or other policy issues should contact Tyler Smith at tsmith@PAEAonline.org.
