Together we thrive: Announcing the 2017 PAEA Education Forum

PAEA is excited to announce that registration for the 2017 Education Forum — the national conference for PA educators — is officially open! This year’s Forum will take place in Denver on October 25–28. We’ve also launched our Forum website, which provides all the information you will need right at your fingertips.

New this year, the 2017 PAEA Education Forum has a special theme — after all, it’s the year of the PA profession’s 50th anniversary. We reflected on how far we’ve come and how important PAs have become to the health of our nation. We thought about the vital role that PA educators play in producing the valuable resource that is each new class of PAs. One word kept coming to mind — thrive. Because that’s what our profession has done for the past five decades.

Important Changes to Know About

This year, there are a few changes to registration that we think will help streamline the process:
Now you can register for workshops and the Forum all at once. When you register, you will have the option of choosing a workshop to add to your Forum experience, and then you can register — and pay — for everything at the same time. Or, if you can’t attend the Forum and only want to register for a workshop, that’s fine too.

To efficiently and effectively handle increased registration volume (2017 Forum attendance is expected to exceed 900), we are now only accepting credit card payments.

We’re offering a new category of registration this year: guest passes. This type of registration is for those whose occupation is unrelated to PA or medical education, such as a spouse/significant other, adult child or other family member, or friends. While guests won’t have access to the education sessions, they will have access to all general sessions, including the Welcome Reception, Awards Lunch, and featured speakers.
With that in mind, go forth and register! Early bird pricing, which will save you $100, is available until July 31 — so don’t delay, register now! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at Forum@PAEAonline.org.
