Student Health Policy Fellows Selected
The fourth cohort of PAEA’s Student Health Policy Fellows (SHPF) has been selected for the coming year. SHPF is a program designed to enhance students’ understanding of political processes and health policy, as well as inspire grassroots advocacy to promote the PA profession as an integral part of the health care system.
Over the next year, the fellows will learn about advocacy, leadership, and the major role PAs play in the health care realm. They will visit Washington, DC, to meet with their congressional representatives, and then work on advocacy projects in their own communities.
“We are continually impressed with the students who apply for the SHPF and look forward to having them share their voices on Capitol Hill to champion PA education,” said Kendall Mealy, fellowship coordinator and PAEA’s director of leadership and diversity. “Their passion for the profession is inspiring and will amplify our advocacy efforts.”
Congratulations to this year’s fellows!
