Research Grant Alert: Smiles for Life
Smiles for Life (SFL), a national oral health curriculum, is now accepting applications for their annual research award, a stipend to support travel and accommodations to present SFL-related research results at an educational conference. This year, SFL is offering two $600 awards.
The SFL curriculum was created in 2005 to address the lack of oral health curricula available for primary care and other non-dental health care providers. Health care professionals of all types have opted to use this curriculum to train providers in their organization or region.
Applicants may be from any learning institution or education level, but must have published or had their study accepted for publication or presentation at a conference using some aspect of SFL as the basis of the research.
Applications will be accepted from graduate or postgraduate institutions of any health profession and in any professional format (poster, platform, or publication) that has occurred or is planned for any time during the 2018 calendar year.
More information about eligibility criteria and the application itself are available in Word document format. (Note: this link will automatically download the document.) Applications are due July 31.
Questions and completed applications can be submitted to Lisa Forsberg at researchaward@niioh.org.
