Registration Open: 14th Annual AAMC Health Workforce Research Conference

On May 9–11, join your colleagues at the 14th Annual AAMC Health Workforce Research Conference — the premier opportunity for researchers, educators, and policymakers to discuss emerging issues related to the nation’s health workforce, examine challenges and findings, and provide a vital forum for networking and information exchange.

This year’s theme is “Building Bridges and Breaking Down Barriers: Diversity, Inclusion, and the Health Workforce,” and focuses on meeting the health are needs of diverse populations and workforce diversity across the continuum from students to practitioners.

The conference will be held at the Sheraton in Tysons Corner, Virginia, near Washington, DC.

Featured speakers include:

  • David Hayes-Bautista, PhD: Professor of medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and director of the Center for the Study of Latino Health and Culture at UCLA
  • Joan Reede, MD, MS, MPH, MBA: Dean for diversity and community partnership at Harvard Medical School

A special pre-conference on Wednesday, May 9, will address rural health workforce challenges and present practical examples of data visualization that have informed policy. The conference itself will feature engaging content covering all aspects of health workforce research — from data innovations to new models of care.
