Raising the Bar: PAEA’s Year in Review
As we do at the beginning of each new year, in addition to planning our work for 2017, our team has been taking some time to look back at the progress we made in 2016. And we have to say, we’re proud of the work we did. So much so, in fact, that we created this Year in Review report to give you a glimpse into what PAEA and our members accomplished together last year.
As you might have guessed, the theme of this Year in Review is “Raising the Bar.” This was the title of our CEO’s speech at the Education Forum, and it perfectly describes how we feel when we look back at our work in 2016. Without spoiling the whole report, here are some highlights of what we did:
- Brought together more than 60 national health care thought leaders for a three-day Stakeholder Summit
- Supported dozens of Student Health Policy and Future Educator fellows
- Made a commitment to increase CASPA waivers for economically disadvantaged students
- Hosted an excellent Education Forum, bringing nearly 900 of our closest friends together for a long weekend of learning and networking
- And so much more
However, we could not have accomplished any of this without you — our supportive members and volunteers. So, thank you, from all of us at PAEA. We hope you enjoy our Year in Review, and — like us — are looking forward to all that is to come in 2017.
