Project Access Volunteers Needed
PAEA is seeking volunteers for Project Access at the 2017 PAEA Education Forum in Denver. Project Access is an outreach program that takes representatives from the PA profession to local high schools to give an interactive and informative presentation to students who may be interested in a health professions career. It’s designed specifically to inspire and motivate underrepresented minority youth to pursue a career as a PA. The program also addresses the social and economic barriers faced by minority pre-teens, teens, and young adults today.
The presentations will take place at local high schools (within 25 minutes of the host hotel) on Thursday and Friday, October 26–27. Presentations generally last between 45 minutes and an hour. If you’re interested in participating, please sign up by September 15.
Please contact Ashley Smith at asmith@paeaonline.org if you have any questions.
