PA Virtual Fair Facilitators Needed

The PA Virtual Fair is an online recruitment event where attendees visit chat rooms hosted by PAEA and PA programs.. It’s an ideal way to interact with a new generation of curious PA applicants.

PAEA hosts a “general PA information” chat room, where attendees can talk with facilitators about different aspects of the profession, ranging from applying to PA school to preparing for and entering practice. We need your help to ensure potential PA students have access to the information they need.

Our spring chat room, prior to the launch of the CASPA cycle, tends to be very CASPA-focused. To help diversify the chat room topics, we would like to have current educators and practitioners participate. Some possible items for discussion include:

  • What PA school is like
  • Tips for prospective applicants
  • Post-graduation steps
  • PA work life
  • Another topic you are passionate about

We also hope to host live presentations from students, practitioners, and educators in our general information chat room. That’s where you come in. If you’re willing to facilitate this conversation, we’d love to have you!

We’re seeking 5–10 presenters throughout the day who would be willing to host a 15-minute webinar and Q&A session on a topic of their choice — for example, your pathway into the profession, PA student life, or what you do daily as a practicing PA. Underrepresented minority or international PA students/educators/practitioners are highly encouraged to volunteer.

Prefer not to present? That’s ok — you can still join the chat anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. ET. You can participate for 30 minutes or for all 12 hours — no time is too short! Or, if your program is interested in hosting its own room, please register to do so here.

If you would like to participate at any time on April 7, please email Heather Storm at hstorm@PAEAonline.org by Tuesday, March 31, with the time(s) you are available.
