Opportunity for Doctoral Candidates: Breitman-Dorn Research Fellowship
Are you enrolled in a doctoral program and working on a dissertation focused on PAs or the PA profession? Apply for funding support through the PA Foundation’s Breitman-Dorn Research Fellowship program. This fellowship, established in 1998 through a generous donation from Jerald A. Breitman in memory of his partner Stephen Dorn, provides financial assistance for doctoral candidates who are contributing to research on the PA profession or the influence of PAs on medical care.
Doctoral candidates from any discipline are welcome to submit an application. Applicants’ research must address the role or contributions of PAs in health care; however, it is not a requirement that the research focus exclusively on PAs or the PA profession.
The Breitman-Dorn Research Fellowship is a cash award, which the PA Foundation Board of Trustees voted to increase from $3,000 to $4,500 for the 2018 cycle. It is not a requirement that the recipient use the money to offset doctoral expenses.
Visit the PA Foundation website to learn more and apply online. Applications are due August 24.
