New ARC-PA Standards Just Released

The 5th edition of the Accreditation Standards for Physician Assistant Education is now available on the ARC-PA website. All faculty were sent a notification from the ARC-PA earlier this week. The new Standards will take effect in September 2020, replacing the 4th edition Standards, which have been in use since 2010. 

PAEA thanks the ARC-PA for including the diversity standard (A1.11), which PAEA has advocated for, and for incorporating other suggestions from the Association. The ARC-PA will be presenting information on the new Standards at the PAEA Education Forum, on Friday 3:30–5:30 p.m. in Salon 2 & 3. At that session, they will also discuss the results of the Stakeholder Communication Survey conducted in March.
