Kayingo Selected as New Program Director
Gerald Kayingo, PhD, PA-C, has accepted the role of PA program director at the University of California, Davis, to begin December 2015. He has been a faculty member at the institution since 2014. Kayingo serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Physician Assistant Education and is a fellow of the Uganda National Academy of Sciences.
UTRGV Recognized by Apple
The PA department of the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, located in Edinburg, has been selected as an Apple Distinguished Program for 2015–2017 in recognition of its exemplary learning environment for innovation, leadership, and educational excellence.
Patton Receives UF Award
The University of Florida PA program awarded its first William M. Hall Endowed Professorship in Physician Assistant Studies to Pamela Patton, MSP, PA-C. Patton was a member of UF’s fifth graduating PA class and joined the university’s faculty in 2014.

JMU Student Chosen for Fellowship
Eleanor Tansey, a student at James Madison University’s PA program in Harrisonburg, Virginia, was recently selected as an Innovation Fellow for the Virginia Center for Health Innovation. She is the first PA student to be selected for this fellowship.
