Join Us this Summer in DC for PAEA’s Inaugural Policy Summit
PAEA’s Government Relations Team has organized the Association’s first-ever Policy Summit which will take place this summer, July 10-12, in the heart of the nation’s capital.
This Summit will bring together participants, including faculty and students, from different PA programs across the country to gain insights into health and education policy, listen to influential leaders and government stakeholders, participate in advocacy activities at the federal level, and connect with peers who share a similar passion for creating an impact on PA education, patients, and the profession.
The event will kick-off with a welcome reception on July 10. A policy and advocacy training on July 11 will feature speakers from PAEA leadership and key policy stakeholders. Participants will meet with the other faculty and students who will be part of the team which meets with congressional staff on the final day of the event.
On July 12, participants will go to Capitol Hill to meet with elected officials to advocate for legislative priorities benefitting PA education and the health workforce.
PAEA welcomes faculty members only to register for the Policy Summit between April 11 and June 1 or visit the 2023 PAEA Policy Summit event page to learn more.
Please note that only one faculty member may complete the registration form on behalf of their program and that person must register all other students and faculty members from their program that plan to attend. Also, the form only allows PA programs to register a maximum of 10 participants. If your program would like to register more than 10 participants, please contact cmajewski@paeaonline.org to arrange additional registrations.
PAEA will accommodate up to 100 student and faculty members for the Policy Summit on a first-come first-served basis.
PAEA looks forward to seeing you in Washington, DC, in July for this premiere Summit, whether you are an experienced grassroots advocate or someone looking to explore the policy-making process for the first time.
