PAEA recently welcomed two new staff members!

Meredith Wise

Meredith joined the PAEA team in late May as manager of public affairs. In this role, she heads up the organization’s social media efforts, edits articles and alerts for the website, and sends out the weekly summary email to PAEA members. Meredith holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia. Prior to joining PAEA, she served as digital communications strategist for Netcentric Campaigns, leading their writing, editing, and social media work. Before that, she worked for U.S. Congressman John Barrow as his staff assistant/scheduler, and then the American Association for the Advancement of Science as a communications associate for the journal Science. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her two dogs, and playing video and board games with her friends.

Justine Mitchell

Justine is the newest PAEA staff member, hired as the administrative associate for the Academic Affairs team. Along with working to support the team, she works closely with
Susan Tirhi on planning Pando™ workshops, among other things. Prior to joining PAEA, Justine graduated from Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts, where she studied both criminology and health care administration — she calls her criminology major the “fun one” and the health care major the “practical one” — and where she was a varsity equestrian athlete. During college, she did an internship with the U.S. Marshals Service before working in sales for a marketing research firm. In her spare time, Justine enjoys cooking and exercising. She also loves going to baseball/sports games and concerts and hanging out at her friends’ pools.
