HRSA Announces Educator Career Development Award Opportunity

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is soliciting applications for the Primary Care Medicine and Dentistry Clinician Educator Career Development Award (HRSA-17-072). The purpose of this program is to strengthen the primary care workforce by training and supporting physicians, PAs, dentists, and dental hygienists who plan to teach in the primary care fields.

This grant is designed to support the development of future clinician educator faculty and leaders in primary care medicine and dentistry, as well as innovative projects that involve the transformation of health care delivery systems. Awards to successful applicants will support one identified junior faculty candidate for five years.

A total of $4,000,000 is projected to be awarded to successful applicants. The closing date for applications is February 13, 2017.
