General Information

Mission Statement
The Mission of the Frostburg State University's Physician Assistant Program is to educate students in compassionate patient-centered care. Students will learn best practices, use innovative technology, and work in interprofessional teams to deliver quality care, particularly in rural and medically underserved areas in Maryland and beyond. Frostburg State University Physician Assistant graduates will have a commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and community service.
Unique Program Features
Our PA program prepares students to provide high-quality care in rural and underserved communities. Located in a small town surrounded by natural beauty, we provide an intimate, rural learning environment while remaining near major cities for clinical rotations. Our curriculum emphasizes knowledge and skills essential for treating underserved populations. Students complete rotations at community clinics and critical access hospitals, gaining firsthand experience with rural medicine.
