We’re growing!

The UNMC Physician Assistant Program has a brand-new Principal Faculty position in Omaha, NE, and we’re looking for an energetic PA educator who wants to teach, mentor, and make a lasting impact.

This is not simply filling an open position; we’re expanding our faculty. The person who joins us will have an opportunity to bring new ideas, help shape the role, and be part of where our program goes next.

The position has a strong didactic education focus, including classroom teaching and opportunities to lead first-year courses. There will also be opportunities to help shape areas such as student capstone experiences, evidence-based medicine education, and other parts of our curriculum.

It’s also a truly hybrid position. You’ll spend meaningful time on campus in Omaha each week, working directly with students and colleagues, while also having flexibility to work from home when your responsibilities allow. We value flexibility, family, and creating a work environment where people can build a long-term career.

Experienced PA educators are especially encouraged to apply. Depending on your interests, previous PA education experience, and the needs of the program, there may also be opportunities to take on leadership responsibilities within the PA Program. If you have PA education experience and would like to discuss potential leadership opportunities, please reach out to me directly.

UNMC offers excellent university benefits, including tuition benefits that can help support someone interested in pursuing a doctoral degree.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who gets excited about teaching medicine, mentoring students, serving others, and helping people grow. The impact of PA education goes well beyond one class, and you have the opportunity to influence generations of future PAs and the patients they will eventually serve.

If you’re a PA who has thought about making education a bigger part of your career, or you're simply ready for your next chapter, I’d love for you to take a look.
