Director of Didactic Education/Didactic Coordinator

Physician Assistant Program

This is a 12-month full-time faculty member with administrative responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited PA Program
• NCCPA-certified PA
• Eligible for or currently possess Kentucky PA licensure without a history of negative board action
• Master's degree required
• 3 years of clinical experience
• 3 years full-time higher education experience at time of appointment preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities are, but are not limited to:

• Coordinate the program's didactic phase,
• Demonstrate responsibility for and actively participate in the processes of:
  • developing, reviewing and revising as necessary the mission statement, goals and competencies of the program,
  • student recruitment and selecting applicants for admission to the PA Program,
  • providing student teaching and instruction,
  • academic counseling of students and evaluation of student performance,
  • assuring the availability of remedial instruction,
  • development/designing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the curriculum, and
  • evaluating the program,
• Serve as a liaison for instructional faculty,
• Support the development of supervised clinical practice experience sites,
• Participate in and support accreditation related activities, including administrative aspects of the program,
• Adherence to University and PA Program policies and procedures,
• Participate in scholarship and service activities as required to maintain licensure and board certification.
