Principal Faculty

Duties/Responsibilities:

•  Student instruction, evaluation, academic advising, and remediation/reassessment efforts
• Serve as course director for assigned courses of the didactic year
• Participation in laboratory session and small group interactive sessions
• Participation in implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the program’s curriculum on a continuous basis
• Participation in the admissions process which consists of recruitment, interviewing, and selection of students for incoming cohort

Required Experience/Skills/Abilities:

•  Instructional and presentation skills
• Excellent English-language written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to interface with students, faculty, and staff

Education:

• Physician Assistant applicants 
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent clinical experience as a PA.
  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in PA.
  • Must have current NCCPA certification.
  • Must be eligible for Missouri state license.
• Other Health Care Professional applicants (MD, DO, NP, PharmD)
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent clinical experience.
  • A graduate of an accredited university from an institution within the United States.
  • Current board certification, or Emeritus status.
  • Eligible for Missouri state license
• Consideration will be given to individuals who do not hold a health care professional degree but possess a terminal degree (e.g., PhD) in one of the human-focused basic life sciences and teaching experience at an accredited institution for higher learning. 
• Experience in PA/medical classroom teaching
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent teaching skills
• Ability to use current technologies in teaching
• Strong ability to organize, plan, and multitask
• Above average initiative and team skills
• Strong work ethic
