PA Program Didactic Support Specialist

Agnes Scott College's Mary Lou Cornwall Hawkes '65 and James B. Hawkes Physician Assistant Program invites applications for a full-time didactic support specialist to begin in August of 2026. This staff member provides administrative support primarily for the didactic phase of the Physician Assistant Program. Reports to the Director of the Physician Assistant Program and works with the PA Program faculty, other staff, and students.

Agnes Scott College has applied for Accreditation-Provisional from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). Agnes Scott College's Mary Lou Cornwall Hawkes '65 and James B. Hawkes Physician Assistant Program anticipates matriculating its first class in October, 2026, pending achieving Accreditation-Provisional status at the July 2026 ARC-PA meeting. Accreditation-Provisional is an accreditation status granted when the plans and resource allocation, if fully implemented as planned, of a proposed program that has not yet enrolled students appears to demonstrate the program's ability to meet the ARC-PA Standards or when a program holding accreditation-provisional status appears to demonstrate continued progress in complying with the Standards as it prepares for the graduation of its first class (cohort) of students.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Assists PA Operations Manager with maintaining compliance records for faculty and preceptors in eMedley database, which includes but may not be limited to:

a. Creating a profile/entering contact and employment information

b. CV/Resume

c. State Licensure/Board Certification.

d. Documentation and evaluations collected by the clinical team during site visits

2. Assists the faculty with contacting guest lecturers

3. Assists PA Operations manager with event planning.

4. Assists the faculty with exam proctoring.

5. Assists the faculty with scheduling and running of Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs)

6. Provides administrative support for the PA Program, ie. Day to day communications.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's Degree required. Preference will be given to candidates with prior higher education or healthcare systems experience.

  5. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to use databases, spreadsheets, and forms
  6. Knowledge of software platforms used for content design/communication
