Building a post-professional doctoral program is one challenge; sustaining and growing it is another. In this closing webinar, experienced program leaders will share insights gained from launching, managing, and evolving doctoral programs in a changing educational environment. Discussion will focus on the factors that contribute to long-term program viability and organizational resilience, with an emphasis on lessons learned, common challenges, and strategies that support continued success. Participants will leave with practical perspectives for strengthening and sustaining their programs over time.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Develop faculty recruitment, development, and retention strategies for doctoral-level teaching and mentoring.
  • Analyze financial sustainability and enrollment/recruitment levers for small programs.
  • Identify workload and burnout risks on small program teams and practical mitigation approaches.
