Gamification is transforming the classroom environment and creating experiences that your students want to be engaged in.
Join us on Wednesday, May 11, from 3:00-4:00 p.m. ET for a Zoom coffee chat with Jonathan Peters, lead author of the book Deliberate Fun: A Purposeful Application of Game Mechanics to Learning Experiences, for a discussion around gamification: how to use storytelling to enhance gamification, determining which game mechanics will motivate your students, as well as practical tips to get started.
Deliberate Fun: A Purposeful Application of Game Mechanics to Learning Experiences provides a framework for fun, giving faculty scientifically valid, practical, applicable processes for adding game mechanics to learning programs. This book offers a balance between an explanation of scientific profiles, gamification philosophy, and practical application, realizing that readers can be motivated by different aspects of a topic.
During the session, attendees will have the opportunity to win a print copy of the book Deliberate Fun: A Purposeful Application of Game Mechanics to Learning Experiences.
