Join us for the next session of the Research Lab webinar series, “Doing More with Less: Engaging Faculty in Research.”
This session is focuses on practical strategies to support faculty engagement in scholarship and research within resource-constrained PA programs. Join the presenters as they discuss how program leaders can foster a research-supportive culture while navigating challenges such as limited faculty motivation, formal training, funding, time, and infrastructure.
Drawing on real-world examples, they will share approaches for aligning expectations, encouraging participation, and leveraging available resources such as cross-institutional collaboration, existing datasets, and internal funding opportunities. The session will also highlight ways to build sustainable research practices through intentional supports like protected time and mentorship.
At the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Identify the rationale for creating a culture of scholarship and research in the PA program
- Identify strategies to foster a research-supportive culture.
- Describe key barriers and motivators influencing faculty engagement in research.
- Create practical approaches for creating scholarship and conducting research with limited resources.
- Design structures that support accountability and research progress without discouraging participation.
