Creating a meaningful doctoral experience for practicing PAs requires a thoughtful design that reflects the realities of adult learners and working professionals. In this webinar, experienced program directors will share lessons learned from developing and refining post-professional doctoral programs, highlighting approaches that foster academic success, learner engagement, and program quality. Participants will gain practical perspectives on designing educational experiences that meet the needs of today’s learners while supporting institutional goals and program growth.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Evaluate asynchronous and hybrid curriculum designs suited to full-time working PA clinicians.
- Compare scholarly-project models (publication-focused vs. QI/applied project) and their advising structures.
- Identify strategies to engage and retain and support adult learners balancing clinical work with study.
Audience: These webinars are for PAEA members who have just started or are contemplating starting a doctoral program, or who are just curious about the content of this webinar.

CME: This program is not yet approved for CME credit. Conference organizers plan to apply for 1 AAPA Category 1 CME credits from the AAPA Review Panel. The total number of approved credits is yet to be determined.
