Aquifer, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing clinical education, is seeking PA educators for two projects over the next few months. This is an excellent opportunity to work with and learn from an interprofessional group of health professions educators.
Telemedicine Cases
- Aquifer is creating short modules to help students be better prepared for conducting telemedicine visits.
- The modules will be peer reviewed, and we would like your input as Physician Assistant Educators
- If you would like to review one of the modules during August 2021, the estimated time commitment is 30 minutes.
- Qualifications include an interest in telemedicine and actively teaching PA students in the didactic or clinical phase.
- You will receive an acknowledgement letter for your efforts.
Please email sherilyn.smith@aquifer.org with a short statement of interest by May 31, 2021.
Palliative Care Course
- PA educators are sought to help develop a primary care palliative care course for medical, PA, and NP students. The project will entail translating general principles of education into curricular learning objectives.
- Aquifer has received a grant from the Arthur Vining Davis Foundations to create an online course for healthcare profession students about palliative care.
- We are seeking subject matter experts in palliative care to be a part of the team that will create the learning objectives for this course.
- If selected, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team consisting of MDs, ARNPs, Social Workers, Pharmacists and Chaplains.
- The timeframe for this activity is July-October 2021 and will entail 1-2 virtual meetings/month with the expectation of 1-2 hours of independent work writing objectives.
- The objectives will guide the creation of a new online course.
- You will receive an acknowledgement letter for your efforts and the opportunity to create a scholarly publication about the work.
