End of Rotation™: Exam Statistics

Exam Statistics

We know that having solid national comparative data is a top priority for PAEA member programs using End of Rotation exams. The information below will help you track version- and form-level national comparative statistics to provide robust student, cohort, and program analysis.

Note: National statistics are available starting with Version 2, the first exam that had data at release. Version 6 statistics were updated July 12.

Each End of Rotation exam has at least two forms, and national comparative data are available from the first day of administration. With the new scale scores, only one set of statistics will be needed for both forms starting with Version 6. The data on this page include the mean (μ), standard deviation (σ), and standard error of measurement (SEM), which are available both as scale scores and raw scores, and the reliability (r), which is a ratio, for the current forms at their construction. National comparative data are based on the performance of a reference population of student test takers from all PA education programs on the items in each End of Rotation examination. Historical data, minimized below, represent final statistics adjusted after the version was retired.
