Moves & Milestones: Summer 2018
Pat Kenney-Moore, EdD, PA-C, became the first PA to achieve the status of professor in the School of Medicine at Oregon Health and Science University. Two additional milestones in her career accompany this well-deserved recognition. Kenney-Moore is the first PA to serve on the Executive Committee of the Oregon Medical Association, an organization that supports physicians and PAs in their efforts to improve the health of Oregonians. She has also been elected to serve on the NCCPA Board of Directors with her first term beginning in January 2019.
Claire Hull, MHS, PA-C, was promoted to the rank of associate professor in the School of Medicine at Oregon Health and Science Center in July. A PA educator for the past 17 years, she has been a faculty member at three well-established PA programs: The University of Alabama at Birmingham, Yale University, and Oregon Health and Science University. She previously served PAEA as a member of the Faculty Development Institute and has been an NCCPA exam contributor.
James F. Cawley, MPH, PA-C, DHL (hon), professor and past chair of the Department of Prevention and Community Health in the Milken Institute School of Public Health and professor of PA Studies at The George Washington University, has announced that he will be retiring from the university, effective December 30.
Cawley has been in PA education for the past 44 years, serving on the PA program faculties at Johns Hopkins, Stony Brook University, Yale University School of Medicine, and — for the past 36 years — at The George Washington University. A past president of PAEA, he is currently a member of the PAEA Research Mission Advancement Commission as well as president of the PA Foundation.
Congratulations on your accomplishments!
