Full-Time Faculty Position

Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) is seeking an engaging, student-centered Principal Faculty – Didactic member to join the growing Physician Assistant Program at our Chattanooga campus.

Position Overview

The Principal Faculty – Didactic for the Department of Physician Assistant Studies serves a key instructional role in delivering curriculum content for the PA program while actively participating in program operations as required by the accrediting body, ARC-PA.

This full-time faculty position offers a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality didactic instruction within the Physician Assistant curriculum
  • Support student learning, mentoring, and academic success
  • Participate in curriculum development, assessment, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Contribute to program operations and accreditation-related activities in accordance with ARC-PA standards
  • Collaborate with faculty and leadership to support the mission and goals of the program

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited physician assistant training program
  • Certification by NCCPA
  • Current Tennessee licensure or eligibility for Tennessee licensure
  • Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies
  • Actively engaged in, or willingness to obtain, a doctoral degree in a medical science-related field
  • Minimum of two years of full-time clinical experience as a physician assistant
  • Excellent oral, written, organizational, and computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in medical science, education, or related field
  • Teaching experience in classroom and clinical settings, preferably in higher education
  • Evidence of excellence or potential for excellence in teaching and scholarly activity
  • One year of didactic teaching experience
