Full-Time Faculty Position

Position Overview
The Principal Faculty â Didactic for the Department of Physician Assistant Studies serves a key instructional role in delivering curriculum content for the PA program while actively participating in program operations as required by the accrediting body, ARC-PA.
This full-time faculty position offers a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality didactic instruction within the Physician Assistant curriculum
- Support student learning, mentoring, and academic success
- Participate in curriculum development, assessment, and continuous improvement efforts
- Contribute to program operations and accreditation-related activities in accordance with ARC-PA standards
- Collaborate with faculty and leadership to support the mission and goals of the program
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited physician assistant training program
- Certification by NCCPA
- Current Tennessee licensure or eligibility for Tennessee licensure
- Masterâs degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- Actively engaged in, or willingness to obtain, a doctoral degree in a medical science-related field
- Minimum of two years of full-time clinical experience as a physician assistant
- Excellent oral, written, organizational, and computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in medical science, education, or related field
- Teaching experience in classroom and clinical settings, preferably in higher education
- Evidence of excellence or potential for excellence in teaching and scholarly activity
- One year of didactic teaching experience
