“Every student deserves the opportunity to be successful regardless of their zip code, the color of their skin, the language they speak, their sexual and/or gender identity, their religion, and whether or not they have a disability.”
Mirko Chardin and Katie R. Novack, co-authors Equity by Design

Join us on Thursday, June 9, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. ET for a Zoom coffee chat with Mirko Chardin, Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer of Novak Learning and co-author of the book Equity by Design: Delivering on the Power and Promise of UDL. (UDL = Universal Design for Learning).
Filled with evidence-based applications of best practices for UDL to create more inclusive and equitable classrooms, Equity by Design serves as a blueprint for educators to alter the all-too-predictable outcomes for our historically underserved students. Providing concrete strategies for designing and delivering a culturally responsive, sustainable, and equitable framework for all students, this first-of-its-kind resource makes the critical link between social justice and UDL so that we can equip students (and educators, too) with the will, skill, and collective capacity to enact positive change.
During the session, attendees will have the opportunity to win a print copy of the book Equity by Design: Delivering on the Power and Promise of UDL.
This session will be recorded and made available in the PAEA Digital Learning Hub for all members.
