Engaging, effective teaching is a mixture of science and art, requiring the right balance of adult learning theory, available technology, intuitive tools, proven practices, creativity, and risk.

Join us on Tuesday, April 12, from 3:00-4:00 p.m. ET for a Zoom coffee chat with Brian Washburn, Endurance Learning CEO, and author of the book What’s Your Formula?: Combine Learning Elements for Impactful Training

In What’s Your Formula, Washburn offers a periodic table of learning elements modeled on the periodic table of chemical properties as metaphors for the tools and strategies of the field of learning design; when they’re combined, and under certain conditions, these learning elements have the potential to create amazing learning experiences for participants. Elements include critical gas-like elements such as the air we breathe, present in every training room (e.g., instructional design or visual design), to radioactive elements, powerful and dangerous yet commonly used (e.g., PowerPoint). You can expect to hear stories from Brian’s own professional experience and walk away with new ideas to organize and design your class, to ensure it doesn’t combust.

During the session, attendees will have the opportunity to win a print copy of the book What’s Your Formula?: Combine Learning Elements for Impactful Training
