National Hispanic Heritage Month: Kara Caruthers in Conversation with Fellow Educators Brenda Diaz and Damian Bedoya

This week, PAEA President Kara Caruthers, MSPAS, PA-C, sat down with Brenda Diaz, DMSc, MS, PA-C, Academic Director, Florida International University Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) Program, and Damian Bedoya, MD, Clinical Assistant Professor, Mercer University PA Program discussed the importance of recognizing the contributions of the generations of Hispanic Americans who have enriched our culture. The group discussed strategies for PAs to address common health concerns within the Hispanic community and how PAs can advocate for Puerto Rican health care providers and patients amidst an ongoing provider shortage.
