Duties/Responsibilities:
- Â Student instruction, evaluation, academic advising, and remediation/reassessment efforts
- Serve as course director for assigned courses of the didactic year
- Participation in laboratory session and small group interactive sessions
- Participation in implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the programâs curriculum on a continuous basis
- Participation in the admissions process which consists of recruitment, interviewing, and selection of students for incoming cohort
- Maintain active physician assistant license
Required Experience/Skills/Abilities:
- Minimum of three years of experience in a clinical practice setting as a physician assistant.
- Â Instructional and presentation skills
- Excellent English-language written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to interface with students, faculty, and staff
Education:
- Â Masterâs level Physician Assistant degree from an ARC-PA accredited school, US licensed MD/DO, US licensed pharmacist
- Current NCCPA Certification
- Three (3) years academic experience (preferred)
- 3 - 5 years clinical experience (required)
- Experience in PA/medical classroom teaching
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent teaching skills
- Ability to use current technologies in teaching
- Strong ability to organize, plan, and mlti-task
- Above average initiative and team skills
- Strong work ethic
