The Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) Physician Assistant Program educates aspiring physician assistants to be forward-thinking, community-minded citizens who will lead the way in solving our nationâs and the worldâs most challenging health care challenges. The MSM Physician Assistant Program invites applications for the Assistant Clinical Director.
The Assistant Clinical Director reports directly to the Program Director and Clinical Director and is responsible for the ongoing development, management, coordination, and evaluation of the Physician Assistant program clinical sites. Initial duties will include preparation of the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) Accreditation application. Other duties include teaching, scholarly activity, academic advising, service and professional activities. In all matters, faculty are expected to maintain the highest standards of professional ethics consistent with the MSM Mission. This is a non-tenure track position, eligible for multi-year appointment. The Assistant Clinical Director will operate within the MSM framework of lifelong learning through innovative teaching, learner-centered curricula, collaborative scholarship, and clinical excellence.
NCCPA certification and eligible for licensure in Georgia.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in complex interdisciplinary and inter-professional settings.
Graduation from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program.
masterâs degree or higher. (doctorate preferred)
Demonstrated ability to engage, support and lead diverse groups.
Minimum 2 years of academic teaching experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a physician assistant.
Demonstrated success in working with faculty, administrators, students and staff within a higher education learning community.
Passion for and commitment to physician assistant education for purposes of optimizing patient outcomes.
Non-PA Faculty Candidates:
In lieu of PA teaching experience and the required PA certification, candidates must demonstrate at least 2 years of clinical or classroom teaching in the specified field of study.
Non-Physician Assistant Candidates
In lieu of PA teaching experience and PA certification, candidates must demonstrate at least two years of clinical or classroom teaching in the specified field of study.
Doctoral degree. Degree must be from a regionally accredited college or university.
