Webinar: Advanced Development of SUD Standardized Patient Scripts and Videos

Join PAEA oThursday, January 28 at 3:00 p.m. ET, for a 90-minute webinar on developing standardized patient scripts and videos in the OUD and larger SUD content areas. This webinar is being offered to all PA faculty who were unable to attend the original session on January 5 and will serve in part as a question-and-answer opportunity for the PAEA Fall Workshop session on Developing a Substance Use Disorder Standardized-Patient Script (linked below)Dr. John Lopes, director of the MAT Waiver Training Initiative, and Dave Keahey, Chief Policy and Research Officer for PAEA, will present. 

Attendees of this webinar will: 

  • Understand the current substance use epidemic 
  • Review typical substance-use history presentations in patients 
  • Practice development of substance-use-history scriptswith specific patient scenarios, in small-group breakout sessions 
  • Participate in a question answer session to discuss advanced challenges of SUD-specific standardized patient scripts and videos, needed training for faculty, and other training/CME available online from SAMHSA-funded resources. 

This program is not yet approved for CME credit. PAEA plans to apply for 1.5 AAPA Category 1 CME credits from the AAPA Review Panel. The total number of approved credits is yet to be determined.
